I am planning on moving to Chicago at the end of July. What would be the recommended residential neighborhoods in the downtown. I would be in a consulting job and would be traveling most of the time and my wife would be at home. Therefore, security is a prime consideration.

Best spots would be Pilsen , Little Village , North Lawndale , Back of the Yards , Brighton Park , Humbolt Park .The miss’ will love it in all of these areas.

What’s the Difference Between an Intel Core Duo processor and a Pentium 3 processor?
I need a new computer for school but have specifics on what it is supposed to be. It needs a Pentium 3 processor, but all the ones I’ve looked at have Intel Core Duo processors. What is the difference, and will it make a difference if I get the Intel processor instead of the Pentium processor?

What modern technologies could we use to prevent the holocaust?
If we were living in a parallel universe where all the modern technology is available to us, and it is the holocaust era, could we prevent it? I was thinking contacts to make their eyes blue, instead of the scientists trying t inject dye into their eyes.

This is a question that my teacher asked our class, and i think it’s a great one. If we had all the technologies today could we have prevented the holocaust. I.E we could prevent the nazis from tapping into the phones to find out who were jews. How can I prepare myself for interior design in college?
I am a sophomore in high school who is looking to pursue a career in interior design. Next school year, I am taking an interior design class. But I feel that it will not be enough. How can I fully prepare myself for whatlies ahead of me in college.

How to get crayon drawings off your wall?
i have a little sister who is 3 years old. she draws on our walls sometimes. i tried using mr. clean magic erasers but the paint kept coming off. how do i get drawings off my wall without the paint coming off?
Put some baking soda in a bowl, and wet a cleaning rag with water. Have it a little more than damp, but not dripping. Dip your fingers with the rag covering them into the baking soda and start rubbing the crayon marks. You shouldn’t have to rub very hard. Keep dipping the rag into the baking soda as needed. When the marks are off, take a different rag, dampen with water, and wipe off the wall. This has always worked for me, I used to clean for a friend who ran a daycare at her home, and I cleaned plenty of these. Good luck!
Where can I find a contemporary rug for a good price?
I’m looking for a rug with red as the main color. It needs to be contemporary/modern with a geometric or abstract design. I’ve tried Target, Pier 1, Pottery Barn, Ikea, West Elm and even Walmart and neither of them have a rug that I just love. Does anyone know of a cool contemporary home store (not on the list) that may have what I’m looking for?
Sometimes you can find nice rugs at Lowe’s or Home Depot. I’ve seen some contemporary designs in bold geometrics at those places. Also, I’ve seen a good selection at www.Overstock.com, on the internet. Their shipping is very low, too. Of course, ordering off the internet is sometimes risky because you can’t actually see what you’re getting. But if you can find a design you like, and the colors don’t have to be an exact "match," or if you can START with the color and work from there, it may be a good solution.

How were so many buildings completed in NYC during the Great Depression ?
All of the most impressive buildings in NYC were finished in the early 1930’s (The GE Building, Chrysler, Empire State, Rockefeller..) Was this just funded by roaring 20’s $ that were still available after the crash? Ive been confused about this for a while.
By GE Building I of course mean General Electric Building, not 30 Rock, which was completed later and is ugly.
The buildings were planned in the 1920s. Many were started and pride prevented them from stopping before they were completed. So many were white elephants for years. For example the Empire State building had many empty floors in its early days.

Mini Snob Architects- Architects who aspire to be Snob Architects but do not have the talent to reach that level. They often put down design of others in order to make themselves feel better about themselves. Make around $100k+/year
Academic Architect- Close relative to the Mini Snob Architect, but their designs don’t relate to real world considerations, like gravity. Many of these architects have never step foot into a working office. $60k/year depending on School
Registered Project architects- Architects who gets dumped on by the Snob Architects and the Owners. To make themselves feel better, they dump on non-registrants and tell everyone how difficult the ARE’s are. As low as $45k/year depending on their abilities
Project Managers – Staff who do not care to pursue the ARE’s. Usually are the most friendly and helpful. But when challenged with an design issue, their eyes usually glaze over and look at you with a blank stare. $45k+
Foreign Architects- Architects working in the US, but hold a license from a third world country. Will often complain about the US registration process and how the codes are ridiculous as well. They earn as much as a drafter, start at $28k/year
Mercenary Architects- Usually temporary hire. Works only from 8-5 and complain nonstop why people give them a bad look when they leave at 5 during a deadline. Although they may make $60-80/hour, they don’t have constant work.
CAD Architects/Job Captains- these are the architects that work only in the office and seldom see daylight. Any necessary contact with consultants will cause them to hide in the cubicle corner in a fetal position. Starts at $26k/year
Intern/recent grad Architect- Full of energy and ideas for the first couple of months. Then soon realize that they actually made more money working at a Bennigans. Make $6/hour if they are even paid.

As we use a lot of web services on the net, and sometimes we dont use the same username, same password…and sometimes the application doesnt allow you to use the username/password that u usually use……really messy!
