How does modern society affect human evolution?
In the past, having a useful attribute increased your chance of surviving, whereas in modern society, it increased your chance of having a better life.
For example, being strong or being smart in the past meant there was more likelihood you could survive, whereas in modern society weak members of society are protected and everyone has equal opportunity to mate.
The other thing in modern society is that people tend to marry people they have similiar qualities. For example, good looking people tend to marry other good looking people, smart people tend to marry other smart people. Short people will marry other short people.
In addition, people who mate will more likely bring up children that have similar qualities to them.
Wouldn’t eventually you would have two human races? One race full of people with really good qualities like being tall, intelligent, good looking etc. and another race with all the bad qualities like being short, ugly, stupid etc. Qualities that once would’ve been weeded out by natural selection, but is kept because modern society provides welfare to.
Bonus aspect – non-educated people tend to have more kids, whilst educated people tend to have less kids. How does that affect the balance of evolution. Would there be a minority of superior people, and a whole bunch of really inferior people?

Looks and personality both play a big part in ‘finding a mate’ but that’s needless to say that more attractive, nicer people would have anymore children than the converse
I think the best way is to look at who has the most children and that is the less educated poorer people, you could argue that the child born from these people could be naturally intelligent (a nature nurture debate for another time). However if this ‘intelligent child’ is brought up in this poor environment it is highly unlikely their potential will be taken advantage of, this is where the rich-poor divide comes in, the poor get poorer the rich get richer and there is little that the poor can do to change this as the education in the poorer areas is not as good as that of richer areas. (Think this is why the three most important things for a country are education, education, education). Nextif you look at birthrates in MEDCs they are very close to deathrate, i.e. and if the poor uneducated are breeding like bunnies that means the richer more educated will deplete in numbers

We’ll ignore multiple cores because they complicate things.
Assuming an almost perfect cache (which isn’t too unlikely if we’re talking about successive bytes), I believe it takes modern processors 3 cycles to do an integer multiplication. The new laptop I got is currently running at 2000 million cycles per second. Approximating 1Mb to 1 million bits, you can quickly work out that it takes about 0.15% of a second to multiply that. The bottleneck these days is in getting information to and from memory, especially the hard disk.
That is integer division. Floating point takes longer. It is more commonly used in benchmarks. See http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/FLOPS .

1. Lyrical is very exaggerated, and full of emotion, when you dance lyrical a message is trying to be conveyed through your movements. Modern is taking the basic routes of jazz and adding modern moves, and modern music, making it something completely different. contemporary is more of the original jazz.
2. They all are fun depending on what you like. but modern is probably the easiest and the most creative/upbeat.
3. Why are there different breeds of dogs? Because they are all different, it is hard to classify them as the same type of dancing.
4. It depends on the teachers in the studio, how advanced they are, and where they perform at.

I have a BA in ancient history and i want to do a pgce next year. I want to teach modern history aswell. What do i have to do to teach modern history if i only know ancient? Do i have to do another 3 year degree?

The short answer is to bring your knowledge up to scratch so that you also know enough modern history. This is not an onerous assignment; if you research the current syllabuses (now called ’specifications’) you will discover just how few periods are covered and how little knowledge is required in the teacher. If you also chat to some serving history teachers you will find two more things: the utterly trivial level of knowledge and the superficial analytical skills nowadays required in the student. In a word, it’s a doddle for someone like yourself: someone literate and able to use the library sensibly and selectively. I have never formally studied history beyond ‘O’ level more than 50 years ago, but in more recent years have successfully taught the subject to ‘A’ level, basically on general knowledge and a certain amount of focused reading.

1. You need to read the data. Which takes some time.
Note: 1Mb is 125 000 bytes. I guess that you wanted to write something like 1MiB (MiB = Mega-binary byte) instead of Mb (Mega bit).
Let’s ignore that.
2. You need to load it to the computing unit (ALU or something like that)
3. You need to request multiplication
4. You need to read the data.
I suggest 3 ways from here:
CPU (1 core, 1 ALU) – this is the only one that I will calculate
CPU (1 to 8 cores, n ALU’s, n FPU’s, very long optimization path)
GPU (let’s assume 1024 cores)
Multiplication is a binary operation… unless you wanted a decimal operation – which can be split into several instructions.
Assumption: CPU can make the multiplication in 1 cycle.
Assumption: GPU can load/multiply/return it in 1 pass as well
CPU can be ~1GHz => 1 000 000 000 000 cycles per second
20 000 multiplications would be performed in 1/50 000 000 part of the second (if I did correct math here 
).
GPU can do the same much faster.
Now let’s go back to the data load… HDD has usually transfer ~20MiB/s. Load time would be ~1s. Multiplication time would be very small when compared to this.
Note: Things like data loading, offset calculation, etc. would take some time. My guess is that it would still take less than 1.001 second including data loading.
How can I mix my modern writing style and imput with a midevil setting and plot?
I love midevil based stories, but I have so many modern opinions I like to put into my writing, plus my style of writing is not very midevil-ish. If you could hint me in the right direction (with out giving me the answers cause i want to write this myself) that would be amazing.

This is a delicate balancing act, since the speech patterns that were acceptable in times past now sound stilted and even pedantic to modern readers. For instance, back in Charles Dickens’s day, contractions were used only by the lower classes. But to write dialogue sans contractions nowadays sticks out like Ebenezer Scrooge at the office Christmas party.
It’s important to develop a good ear for the rhythm and flow of period dialogue, by reading extensively in period literature. Some people have had excellent success mimicking period dialogue (Patrick O’Brian comes to mind), but usually it’s best to find a happy medium. Give your dialogue just enough of an “antique” flavor to keep the reader in the period without bogging him down in alien speech patterns. For example, in the time period in which my recently released medieval novel Behold the Dawn is set, modern-day English was almost entirely unknown, so I had to find a speech pattern that would be intelligible to readers while still grounding them within the setting. For the most part, I accomplished this simply by a judicious use of appropriate dialect.. just enough to give the reader the sense that he was reading a medieval tale, but not enough to make the story incomprehensible.

Marketing as I understand is: creating awareness and demand for a product or services and using the supply chain management system, ensuring that it reaches the end user effectively. The Traditional marketing has a manufacturer, whole lot of middleman including traditional advertising and customers. modern marketing has a manufacturer and customers without wwhich no business will function. But the middleman, advertisements and monitoring of demand and supply has undergone lots of changes. Big malls are directly supplying goods from manufacturers to consumers doing away with middlemen. MLMs and Direct Marketing have totally eliminated the middlemen and passing 60% of middlemen revenue to consumers who put some effort by way of word of mouth publicity. Modern communication tools are doing their bit of advertising and monitoring. End consumers get convenience.

Add an ottoman to the seating arrangement ; in a bright color that will blend in with shades of the current colors….
Mirrors will make a room look bigger…
Group 6-8 framed photo’s,eye level,on the wall ; frames all the same color;black;gold;silver;brass;wood etc…(inexpensive frames can be found at Dollar Stores)….
Add plants or silk plants….
Cover a Couch or chair with a new slip cover…
Fresh or silk exotic flowers are a nice touch too..

Clean the glass on your desk with 1 part vinegar to 2 parts water…use soft cloth..
Your Wardrobe could be draped on top with a square table cloth (or a piece of fabric,only angle the corners to fall so the points are in the center of each side of it,so the tips are about 10" down each side…….(hope that made sense) Putting tassles on each tip would be a nice touch too……then top that with a large plant or vase,or both…
