How to can I make my room more modern?
My bedroom is looking half modern half old, I need some help on making it look a bit more modern without spending a huge amount of money. Any suggestions?
MY wardrobe is looking fairly old, same with my blind…
I almost definitely will not replace my wardrobe so I need help on making it look more modern. My desk is glass and I need help cleaning it properly. Also the door is Victorian (I think) but is broken alot, so much that you can see through it. Thanks
Try these ideas….=)
Add a floor lamp that’s a bold color….
Add an ottoman to the seating arrangement ; in a bright color that will blend in with shades of the current colors….
Mirrors will make a room look bigger…
Group 6-8 framed photo’s,eye level,on the wall ; frames all the same color;black;gold;silver;brass;wood etc…(inexpensive frames can be found at Dollar Stores)….
Add plants or silk plants….
Cover a Couch or chair with a new slip cover…
Fresh or silk exotic flowers are a nice touch too..
=)
Clean the glass on your desk with 1 part vinegar to 2 parts water…use soft cloth..
Your Wardrobe could be draped on top with a square table cloth (or a piece of fabric, only angle the corners to fall so the points are in the center of each side of it,so the tips are about 10" down each side…….(hope that made sense) Putting tassles on each tip would be a nice touch too……then top that with a large plant or vase,or both…
Need more info on what’s old that you want to change.
